Learn about the long history of fermentation (around the world) and the amazing health benefits of fermented foods! You will be able to taste a wide variety of fermented foods during the class. We will also cover the basics of making your own fermented foods at home, how to store them and how to incorporate them into your daily lifestyle with creative recipes. We will also cover the basics of how to make a loaf of sourdough bread! BONUS: Bring an extra $5 and your own 5×9 loaf pan, and take it home filled with sourdough that can rise in your oven all day and get baked later that evening, to have fresh sourdough and a a house that smells amazing! Fermentation kits and sourdough starter will be for sale at the end of class. You will be able to begin fermenting in your own kitchen immediately!
